Crocodile 02:53
All the pieces fit. Nothing needs fixed. You got me threaded through the open skin of every broken sentence. I was versatile. Now I crocodile. You got me treading muddy wakes for a taste, uh oh! predatory style. You know you’re wrong for it. I wrote a song for it. I was incomplete. Underground six feet. With shovel and brick you tore into sarcophagus and pulled me to my feet. The connotation lies within frame of mind. You sent your spell, broke me from my hell and stole me into paradise. You know you’re wrong for it. I wrote a song for it. There’s nothing wrong with this. I wrote a song for it. Into Saturn’s dim the satellites swim. You got me fixed in perfect ellipse spinning towards the infinite.

Pyramids 03:00
All your thoughts were pyramids and all your friends were pharmacists, like what was never is…but it’s now. Of dial tones, a reluctant past those ghosts keep calling back and you’re anchored now without slack and sinking. The dialogue has since dimmed. Your eyes are concentration. Lose the brakes at the bend, no seatbelt! Make me or break me tonight. I won’t go down without a fight. Sent your love and sentiments and dressed yourself like a little kid when you stormed the hill on your pilgrimage to nowhere. You swallow hope like a wishing well and those shiny coins got some stories to sell. When everyone is someone else, who are you to make me or break me tonight? I won’t go down without a fight. Sulking in your tyrant’s chair, screaming, tearing out your hair. Oh? A silent Armageddon clawing through the blood under your skin. So make me or break me tonight. I won’t go down without a fight.

I don’t want to but when I die bury me in Virginia. When I’m gone and it all goes black, sing my songs like they were meant for you. They were meant for you! There’s no place that I’d rather be than with a guitar in my hand and a bottle of whiskey, thank you Brooklyn! One short night is all you’ll get from me then I’ll float back out to sea, I see through you. Glad I knew you! I don’t want to but when I die bury me in Virginia. When I’m gone and it all goes black, sing my songs like they were meant for you. They were meant for you!

Bloodletting 03:04
By the time you get this, you’ll be in someone else’s arms. By the time I’m finished, you’ll be reduced to her charm. Submerged in a blanket of manmade stars, would you move electric moon or give it up just like ours? I feel the sidewalk pushing against my feet. I count to ten and start again trying not to think of the mattress we shared on your apartment floor, where I closed my eyes and realized, baby, I loved you more. You broke my heart-- I still love you broke my heart-- I still miss you tore me in two-- that’s my fault. I’m bloodletting. By the time you get this, you’ll be in someone else’s arms. By the time I’m finished…

Savior 03:39
I don’t need a savior cuz I’ve got a gun and I don’t wanna think of all the bad things I’ve done. Like when I do, it’s what I do that’s nothing to you so I’ll sit upon this shelf cuz I got nothing to prove, do you? I don’t need a lover cuz I’ve got a gun and we’ll dance through the night and I’ll die when I’m done. To some, I’m too young or I’m too high strung but the milk in my wounds is the water in your lungs. But you nightmare. You wake up and still there. Demons frame the door. You blood in my gut. You overwhelming numb that moves to decay. I don’t need a savior cuz I’ve got a gun and I don’t wanna pay for all the bad things I’ve done. Like what I did when vanity ripped your crimes into my wrist and I’ll stand upon this stage and I will sing about it. But you nightmare. You wake up and still there. Demons frame the door. You blood in my gut. You overwhelming numb that moves to decay.

Time’s been rough and I’ve struggled through enough to know that I’m better off alone. So take what you need, save the rest for me to clean. I’ll go off and I’ll move on. The devil always comes like a lover in the night. Save the kiss of death at your bedside. Time’s been rough and I’ve fought long enough to know that I’m better off at home. So take what you need, save the rest for me to cleave. I’ll move on and I hope you’ll grow up. Trouble always comes like robbers in the night. They will take, they will break, don’t you put up a fight. Devious stray, star spangled and lit. A diatribe in the ugly mouth, a self-portrait of what’s to come, because what is, is what was. We are infinite, we are all heathens. Oh! don’t steal the rain clouds from my eyes. Sulk in spite with this festering heart of mine. I was a child, I was free and I fought to believe that we are infinite, but we aren’t all poets. We are all lies and the devil always comes to my side.

Whoa, whoa, whoa where ya going to? You’ve nowhere to go. And are you coming through or you’ve nothing to show for it? Your heart moves in two directions, your eyes always on the moon. Your life spills in one dimension but the city in the window never changes shape. You’ll tell yourself the truth without ever coming clean. You’ll swear and you’ll scream to God but was he ever listening? No, not to you. Whoa, whoa, whoa where ya running to? Of all you had, you wrecked. And are you pulling through or did you disconnect from it? Your heart moves in two directions, your eyes always towards the moon. Your life spills in one dimension but the city in the window never changes shape. You’ll tell yourself the truth without ever coming clean and you’ll swear and you’ll scream for God but was he ever listening to these shaky notes as they bend through the choir? To your skin as it burns as you rip through the fire? From the bench in the park, to the bridge where you leapt, you left the shell in my window and this song in my head.

Oh! Nola 03:06
We passed in street cars under black lights and flashing stars. Fists raised like monuments to pay respect to the bodies spent. She opened her arms, “Baby I’m in love with you!” Was it heat from the street or the cemetery’s gloom? Oh! Nola don’t break me now. I was sure we’d be lost but somehow this fade keeps me in and out. Am I singing out of tune? We fled into the bars under blood moon and hash tagged scars. Enraged by politics, the placement of planes, their intersections. I opened my eyes, “Baby I’m in love with you!” My head on your chest, the air mattress, this spinning room. Oh! Nola don’t break me now. I was sure we’d be lost but somehow this fade keeps me in and out. Am I dancing before cued? I awoke to dawn yawning your song in my head. I sent you a stray line. I fell back in bed. I dreamt in color, our souls swept the floor as we danced in the blue light and collapsed on the shore. I know this street. I’ve been here before. I knelt on the pavement and prayed at your door. I said, “Oh! Nola, don’t break me now. I was sure we’d be lost but somehow…”

Tidal Wave 02:36
You got me standing up, up on the edge of a tidal wave. Forged in my new skin, I begin pretend sunken eyes like ships forgotten amidst the sea as it spits and sways. Of kerosene, a sick machine, a wakeup call that ends in dream. Eyes alive, heart hung in hope on sagging board with severed rope. You got me standing up, up on the edge of a tidal wave. Born of consequence I condemn dissent, shimmering like nymphs forgotten amidst the trees as they split decay. Of kerosene, a sick machine, a wakeup call that ends in dream. Eyes alive, heart hung in hope on sagging board with severed rope. You got me standing up, up on the edge of a tidal wave.

The sun don’t shine through the windows like it used to and all the tiny parts were perceived. I found a candle and I lit it in my room. The flame’s reflection dances off of me. This house don’t feel as safe as it used to. There’s a stranger sleeping next to me. I saw myself-- a painting framed in gold and blue. If there’s a god, who should I believe? So call the cops if you want to but don’t believe in accidents. You’re not sick and you’re not dying. Leave the light on, don’t go back to bed. Solace they scream, make me believe. I walked on fire for you. So let me be, should I concede? I sank the line for you. The blame don’t feel as blatant as it used to and everything I sought was diseased. The plane went down over a skyline of blue. The chutes were in knots soaked in kerosene. The sun don’t shine through the windows like it used to and all the tiny parts were perceived. I found a candle and I lit it in my room. The flame’s reflection dances off of me. So call the cops if you want to but don’t believe in accidents. You’re not sick but we’re all dying, Leave the light on, don’t go back to bed. Solace they scream, make me believe. I walked on fire for you. So let me be, should I concede? I sank the line for you. Nightmare or dream? I can’t conceive, she walked on wine for you. So let me be, should I concede? I cut the line, did you?

The sea of how she spits and sways and swells on end for days and days. Many men lost in her waves, buried in their sandy graves. The sirens sing a song of sex, a tale of death, a dirge to purge the sparrow’s nest. Of gunpowder and drunkenness, a sailor’s knot caught round yer neck and the sirens sing. The sea oh how she spits and sways and sells her squall to pass the days. Many men clenched in her wakes, shipwrecked ‘neath a blood moon’s gaze. The sirens sing a song of sex, a tale of death, port wine pouring from her decks. With gunpowder, a coward’s hex. Burn the wench, she’s derelict!
